Westfield College Activities

Schedule of events for the 2025-2026 school year

Leadership

Westfield Residence is about inspiring young women to realize their potential to have a positive impact in the world around them. We offer two programs designed to help young women grow into leaders and professionals: Women’s Leadership Seminar (a seminar run by professional women) and Montemare (a club run by fellow students). CULTURAL SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Throughout the year, Westfield Residence hosts workshops on a variety of topics to help college women think deeply and act wisely in the world.

Past topics have included:

  • Philosophy of Work: Building our world and ourselves (Fall 2024)

  • Christian Citizenship (Spring 2023)

  • Love and Responsibility (Fall 2022)

  • Fiat Lux: Reasons to Believe (Fall 2021)

  • Love & Sexuality: Understanding Church Teaching (Spring 2019)

  • Friendship: Take it to the Next Level (Fall 2018)

  • Preparing for Holy Week (Spring 2018)

  • Rethinking the Future (Fall 2017)

Spiritual Activities 

  • Recollection for College Women (Second Saturdays):
    A monthly opportunity to reflect on your everyday life in light of basic Christian principles. Geared to help you refresh your spirit and strengthen your resolve to do good. Westfield’s Chaplain is available during the recollection for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and for consultation or advice. Starts at 5:00pm to 7:30pm.

  • Retreats:
    A longstanding tradition in Christian life, retreats provide an opportunity to reflect on your everyday life in light of basic Christian principles, and to deepen your personal relationship with God. They are conducted by priests of Opus Dei. The retreats are designed for college women, in order to help them fuse faith with their daily life. The schedule includes Holy Mass, reflections on Sacred Scripture, talks on virtues, praying of the Rosary, and time for private prayer and reading. Click here for more information!

  • All-Night Adoration:

    A full night of exposition for any college woman that wants to come and meet Christ in the Eucharist. Time slots are an hour long, so come and spend some time in prayer with your friends in the midst of the busyness of college. Once a semester: stay tuned!

Community service

Every third Saturday of the month at 3:30pm, Westfield offers a carpool to and from a nearby nursing home where we entertain and visit with the residents. Email us for more information.
